Tal, and well met, Stranger. You are about to enter the world of Gor, the Counter-Earth. This is a world where Men are Masters, and women are aware of the possibility of being enslaved. There are exceptions, but that is the general rule. Gor was created in the novels of John Norman, who presented an alternative social structure for humanity. On Gor You will meet Vikings, Mongols, Indians, pirates, Romans, and on and on. These people came from urth via the Voyages of Acquisition of the Priest-Kings, and the terrible Kurii, and continue today. What are these beings, You ask?... Read the Chronicles.

You will find essentially medieval technology, save in the healing arts, which far surpass what is known on urth. Technology is deliberately suppressed, the most potent weapon allowed being the feared and fearsome Peasant Bow. What You will NOT find are pollution, crime, as it is known on urth, or any of the other travails of an industrialized world: they are not allowed. You will NOT find firearms, metal armor, or engines of mass destruction. You will NOT find magic, vampyres, ghosts, goblins, gods, or any of the other mythical beings of a "D and D" world.

Gor is slightly smaller than urth, but of greater land mass, mostly plains. It is generally a bit windier and cooler than Urth. This Camp sits on the Plains of Turia, that territory claimed by the Wagon Peoples, primarily descendants of the Mongols of Earth. The Wagon Peoples consist of four tribes: the Kassar, or Blood People; the Kataii, the Black People; the Paravaci, or Rich People; and the dreaded Tuchuk, the fiercest of the Wagon Peoples. This is the Camp of the Tuchuk, where KnightStorm~WARDER~ is Ubar. A few general words of caution follow.

First... on Your first visit, and ever after, enter with a name. We much prefer that to anonymous or visitor. Second... keep that name. Multiple personas in this room are greatly frowned upon. Third... You will be asked to leave all Your weapons at the Stone... do so. Once You have entered, as kajirae are available, You will be offered food and drink. If You are not, ask... politely, as food and drink are Yours for the taking. If the Camp is busy, be patient. Do not private message without permission... none are allowed to do that. If you do pm without asking permission, expect to be taken to task for it. Ask what questions You need in public, and do not be embarrassed... We all started as rookies on Gor. Come in, look around, observe, and visit. Do so carefully however, for You are on Gor, and a stranger to Us. While We respect Your right to chat, We ask that You respect Our Way. Finally... remember that on Gor, the word for stranger and enemy is the same, and You are considered a stranger until We know You.
