Emerald/Sereem Brooch Necklace (Cost: 1,708 DWG)

A smooth, cabochon cut emerald 1-3/8” x 5/8” was set into an oval gold base with pin assembly to create a brooch. The base has two links mounted into it to allow the brooch to be worn with the accompanying jeweled chain. Around the perimeter of the oval emerald are mounted round, faceted sereem diamonds in gold cup settings. On the back of the brooch is engraved: “To the Lady Nyx, for a Wager Won.” The letters were filled with emerald green enamel to bring the letters into clear view. The jeweled chain was formed by linking smaller, oval, faceted emeralds and round, faceted sereem diamonds in alternation. Each diamond and emerald was set into a gold cup setting and attached to others with sturdy gold master links. Gold master links and clasps secure each of the two lengths of jeweled chain to the brooch and clasp together at the back of the neck. A link is threaded onto the clasp and the hinged upper piece snaps closed to lock the master link in place. The clasp may be opened by applying finger pressure to the short end of the rectangular clasp. The brooch necklace rests close to the base of the neck. The brooch can be detached from the jeweled chain lengths and worn separately. The two lengths of jeweled chain can be worn as two bracelets.
